Saturday 6th January - walk **** – Trimley circuit – Sunny periods.

After a couple days with loads of rain it was a surprise to wake to sunshine when I thought today was surposed to be cloudy! After completing our usual word games I decided to drove down to Felixstowe Ferry to get a few weather pics even though very few are used at the weekends. Got some nice pics at The Fludyers and a few at the Ferry, nice way to start the day with sunshine even though the northerly breeze was a tad on the chilly side! Home for breakfast, exercises and pack a picnic, Mag had spent a lot of the morning doing a jigsaw puzzle she had got for free from the libruary:) Choosing somewhere for a picnic and walk is a little challenging at the moment with so much rain and everywhere being very wet and muddy! I decided to drive the couple of miles to Cordys Lane to park and walk towards Levington along our favourite tree lined path to check what it would be like to bike? Mag took no chances and put her wellies on, these were my mums boots which are still going strong as she has been gone 37 year!!! Setting off around one we quickly discovered it would not be much fun to bike, although long sections were ok there was loads of mud too making it slippery in places but we made it OK:) It was lovely and quiet as we ambled along, sadly no deer were spotted but we did see loads of footprints. We made it to a seat with lovely views of the rolling Suffolk countryside and stopped for our yummy roll and warming cuppa, we meet a nice couple out for a long walk too! Well rested we continue past the small pond, no fish were seen and onto Grimston Lane and back close to the railway line and back to the van, a top 3 mile walk:)
